When I was still very young… I’m still young, wild and free.
Just so you know…LOL.
When watching a movie, I watch the movie first before
reading the book. Well, I just like to read
the book to catch up with those scenes I didn't understand fully.
But as I got older, I
find myself reading the book first and got excited to watch the movie and I
find it somehow really hard for me because my expectations became just too
high..
Alright, let’s talk about The Fault in Our Stars, Don’t
worry, I’m not a spoiler to those who haven’t seen the movie nor read the book
yet, It just some of my opinions before and after watching the movie. Okay?
OKAY.
To tell you the truth, I read the book for almost a year now
and when I saw the movie poster probably few months ago, I’m a bit
disappointed. First, because Ansel Elgort would be August Waters… Say what? I didn't
even imagine someone like him to become My Gus, Hell YEAH… August Waters is one
of the Fictional Character I have ever loved. Second, Shailene Woodley as Hazel
Grace…Hey, John Green! She’s already in Divergent! Why not choose other actor?! There are lots
in the Hollywood! What the Hell. Yeah. I cursed them like that. Third, they’re
siblings in Divergent. What would gonna happened in the movie?! It would be a total crap.
So, I decided not to watch the movie. But then, few months ago…because
I am totally in love with Tobias “Four” Eaton I watched the movie Divergent
where both Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort were also a cast. I find the both
of them a good actor. So, why not gave the upcoming movie “The Fault in Our
Stars” a chance?
After months of cursing, disappointments and everything… Today,
June 9, 2014. I've finally watched the movie. I can totally say that I fell in
love again with the characters. They’re totally good. You can feel every emotion,
lines just like while you were reading the book… and to those who haven’t read
the book…Okay watch the movie. Okay, I assure you, it’s a great movie…What I have learned in here is that "don't judge the movie by its character" but I
would rate the movie 9 out of 10 since I gave the perfect rating for the book.. Okay? Okay. Just like what I've said I am no to Spoilers. Byeeee. x
Love, (Hazel) Grace
